Giulia Agostini is one of the most passionate and well-known figures in the Florentine swing scene. She discovered her love for movement at the age of ten through artistic gymnastics, later diving into belly dance, which she studied for five years. In 2008, she encountered Lindy Hop, and it was love at first bounce: a rhythm, an energy, a connection that spoke directly to her.

In 2009, she began an ongoing dance journey alongside Tommaso Dainelli, which took them to major European and international swing hubs like Barcelona, Prague, Budapest, Herräng, and Los Angeles. Yet it was in her hometown of Florence that Giulia chose to plant the roots of her swing mission.

In 2010, she launched the very first Lindy Hop course in Florence. By 2012, she co-founded the association Lindy Hop in Florence with Tommaso, giving a permanent home to the joy of swing dance in the city. That same year, they introduced Lindy Hop for the first time at Danza in Fiera, one of the world’s top dance fairs, paving the way for Florence’s first true Swing Festival in 2013.

In 2018, Giulia and Tommaso also brought their vibrant energy to the south of Italy, teaching during an intensive swing workshop weekend in Lecce.

Today, Giulia is a beloved Lindy Hop teacher in Florence, known for her style, technical precision, and the joy she brings to every class — where dancing means connection, creativity, and lots of fun.
