Jumpin’Up are one of the most loved and established swing bands in the Italian scene. Formed in Sicily in 2005, they carry forward a musical project that pays tribute to the authentic sound of the 1940s and 1950s, with an irresistible energy blending swing, jive, jump blues, and rock’n’roll. Their identity is built on a rigorous approach to the style of the era: faithful arrangements, a strong horn section, driving rhythm, and impeccable vintage aesthetics reminiscent of mid-century ballrooms. The band consists of a line-up of eight members, a complete ensemble of vocals, horn section, and rhythm section: a rich and dynamic formation perfect for making any dance floor come alive. Over more than fifteen years of activity, Jumpin’Up have performed on national and international stages, participating in some of the most important swing and rock’n’roll festivals, including the Summer Jamboree in Senigallia, the Rhythm Riot in the UK, Rock That Swing in Munich, and major cultural events like the Locarno Film Festival. They have also reached a wider audience through the television show “Tu Si Que Vales”, where they impressed judges and viewers with a performance full of energy and charisma.
Their repertoire pays tribute to great Italian and international swing artists, including Renato Carosone, Fred Buscaglione, the Quartetto Cetra, and icons like Louis Prima, Louis Jordan, and Bull Moose Jackson. Every concert is a journey through time, blending music, showmanship, and audience engagement, capturing the true essence of vintage ballrooms.
With their electrifying stage presence and strong connection to the swing community, Jumpin’Up are today one of the most solid and sought-after bands in the Italian retro scene, capable of turning every performance into a real celebration of timeless swing.
