Tanya Georgiievska is a true icon of the international swing dance scene, combining technique, expressiveness, and an overwhelming passion. Originally from Kyiv, Ukraine, she began dancing at the age of 4 with classical ballet, and by the age of 9, she had already immersed herself in the energetic world of acrobatic Rock’n’Roll. Her versatile training includes Modern Jazz, contemporary dance, and the captivating rhythms of Boogie Woogie, Lindy Hop, Solo Jazz, and Charleston.

Between 2000 and 2009, she gained international recognition, winning the World Cup in Rock’n’Roll formation and reaching the semifinals of Ukraine’s Got Talent with an explosive Boogie Woogie performance. But Tanya is not just a dancer—she's also a brilliant mind, having earned a Master’s degree in International and European Public Law from Erasmus University Rotterdam.

After a brief break to focus on her family, she returned to the dance scene in 2011 with strength and determination, winning 4 Boogie Woogie World Cups and working as an illustrator at the stop-motion studio Novatorfilm in Kyiv.

Since 2016, her career took a major leap forward thanks to her extraordinary partnership with Sondre. Together, they have become one of the most beloved and followed Lindy Hop and Boogie Woogie couples worldwide, winning world, European, and national titles, and performing at the most prestigious swing dance festivals. During the pandemic, they also conquered the online stage, building a community of over 500,000 followers and thousands of enthusiasts enrolled in their online dance school.

In the heart of Salento’s swing scene, Tanya brought her charisma and expertise to our vintage dance workshop and one of the most unforgettable swing parties of the season. An experience filled with swing rhythm, lindy hop steps, aerial moves, solo jazz improvisation, and an atmosphere that evoked the magic of the Swing Era and vintage culture from the '20s, '30s, and '40s.
