Leonardo Ost is a globally recognized swing dancer and Lindy Hop teacher, celebrated for his vibrant style and infectious passion. Originally from Rome, Italy, he began his dance journey at age 13 through Hip Hop and its various styles, before falling in love with Lindy Hop in 2012—a discovery that completely transformed his artistic path.

With more than 60 flights a year, Leonardo teaches, competes, and performs at major swing events, international jazz festivals, and dance workshops around the world. His professional experience includes directing choreographies, joining artistic residencies abroad, and collaborating with performance groups and dance institutions across Europe and beyond.

In January 2024, Leonardo joined Roser Ros for an electrifying weekend of swing dance workshops in Lecce. His high-energy Lindy Hop and Solo Jazz classes, followed by a stunning performance during the Saturday night party, left a lasting impression on the swing dance community in southern Italy.

Now based in Anzio, Leonardo is the founder of SWING&SMILE, a vibrant cultural project aimed at sharing the joy of swing culture across the Lazio coastline. Through themed events, live music parties, classes for all ages, and open community jams, he keeps the spirit of the Swing Era alive and contemporary. Leonardo continues to train passionate students worldwide, offering a unique blend of human connection and pedagogical excellence.
