Ksenia Parkhatskaya is one of the most extraordinary and internationally acclaimed contemporary artists in the swing dance world. Best known for her electrifying style in Charleston and Solo Jazz, she has captivated audiences with over 200 million online views thanks to her elegance, musicality, and powerful stage presence.Since 2010, she has been performing and teaching in more than 35 countries, spreading her passion for swing rhythm, jazz music, and vintage culture on stages and at festivals worldwide.
In Southern Italy, Ksenia headlined the beloved Salento Swing Festival, one of the most vibrant vintage-themed events in Puglia, hosted by the Salento Swing People association. Her presence left a lasting impression on the swing dance community in Salento, inspiring lindy hop, solo jazz, and balboa dancers from all over the country.
As a choreographer, Ksenia has collaborated with renowned ensembles such as the Christian McBride Trio, Postmodern Jukebox, Barcelona Jazz Orchestra, Paul Dunlea Big Band, and many others. She has performed in prestigious venues including the Paris Opera and the Aspen Santa Fe Ballet company.
Now based in Barcelona, she leads two dance companies – “CIA Khalo” and “BCN Jazz Dancers” – and runs her acclaimed online school Secrets of Solo, a global hub for learning jazz roots, solo jazz improvisation, and the Shim Sham.
Her latest production, “Radio Hermitage,” is a theatrical dance piece blending live jazz music, storytelling, and expressive movement — a true celebration of 1930s jazz culture and personal freedom.
